I am

Hi! I’m Jake. Thanks for stopping by.

Welcome to my website, I’m glad you’re here! My name is Jake Goldwasser and I am many things, however always a friend first.

I specialize in developing artists of all ages achieve the goals they set in their craft - whether by coaching performance skills, building musical understanding of harmony, melody, and sound, or simply by discussion - my mission is to get you where you want to be.

My musical background is rooted in guided self-discovery, and as a teacher, I follow this closely. It is my job as a mentor to lift my students to their potential, and let them fly!

In my first publication, I began my public introduction of the Hexachord System and its universal applications, and I actively use this method in my teaching practice and compositions. I believe that this system of music creates a natural connection from ear to sound, and allows students of all ages to grasp the same tools that Bach, Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven used in their musical careers, just to name a few.

As a professional musician, my work is a culmination of all that I am as a person. My ideology regarding music, life, and balance are at play every time I approach an instrument on stage, in the classroom, or while recording.

Knowledge and discovery are gifts best shared, and I look forward to aiding your musical growth and progress, however we may best see it fit.

Again, thank you for the visit, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Beginning his first formal music studies at the age of 3 years old, Jake Goldwasser has always found himself working with the music inside his mind. By the age of 13, Jake began performing semi-professionally on both saxophone and piano. At 16, he was recording on full-length albums as a sideman for various Atlanta artists.

After graduating High School, Jake took on the chance to explore the musical world in Europe, gaining the distinction of being the first and youngest accepted American student to the Musik und Kunst Universität der Stadt Wien’s prestigious Bachelor‘s performance program.

Since then, he has released 13 albums under his own name, while continuously working with other artists to help produce and bring them to finding their own unique sounds. His written works, are acting as an orientation for upcoming compositions and career directions as he continues his musical journey in America, where he is now working throughout the country.

I believe that it is important to share knowledge in different ways, and through various mediums. This page showcases my work in written or published form.

My first written work was completed with the end of my studies in Vienna, and it is the introduction to my work with the Hexachord System, as well as a few of my early compositions I wrote as Saxophone Etudes for the reader.

My first music-only publication featuring 9 compositions for piano. They were written and composed by hand in Chattanooga, TN, Autumn 2020.

Digital copies of this work can be found on the links attached, and original handwritten copies can be obtained upon request.

As I continue to learn, create, and publish more, I will update this page to showcase my entire current body of work.

Below are some of my credentials, which I feel give a strong support to who I am, and some of my acheivements as a musician.

The milestones you see here are just the beginning of things to come, and will be updated often.

In July 2020, I began my "Thoughts of the Week" series, which was a release of one full-length album per week. I created the first 7 volumes over the summer, which led me to the next set of composotions to be written in the autumn months shortly thereafter.

The "Thoughts of the Week" series can be found alongside my other albums, and they feature my line drawings as the cover art.

Please come back to this page often to see what is coming next!

As a young musician in today's modern world, I feel it's important to show not only where I came from, but where I'm going.
